Hello
My name is Rory, and I’m a qualified personal trainer with two decades of experience in exercise, fitness, sport, and health. My qualifications include Level 2 Sports Injury, Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Physiology, Level 3 Personal Training, Level 3 & 4 Exercise Referral, DipHE (Open), and a BA (Hons) in Business and Management.

My exercise experience is diverse, ranging from sport-specific programming to weight management. My training philosophy centres on doing what’s most effective, rather than simply what works, thus programme optimization is key to my programming style. In addition, I believe it’s equally important to support clients who prefer to come to the gym, follow clear direction, and get on with their training, as well as those who want to become more independent exercisers.

For clients who want to build the knowledge and confidence to train on their own, I’ll guide you through that process. For those who prefer structured guidance and enjoy being coached, I’ll lead and support you every step of the way. And if you’re looking for a balance between the two, you’re in safe hands too.

My Story
I grew up and spent many years of my life in dysfunctional, tough, and unforgiving environments, and it was exercise and sport that became for me a place of peace, certainty, security, and escapism. Even through the very tough times, just a pair of homemade dumbbells were a stronghold that helped me stay in the battle against what ever demon I was facing at the time.

Two decades later, many battles have been fought and won, and my passion for fitness has only grown stronger. Today, I’m on a mission to share that knowledge and experience to help others find their own strength, resilience, and sense of purpose — for a brighter today, tomorrow, and future.
